I Am…My Voice (Back by popular demand!)
3 women are killed by their husbands/boyfriends in this country everyday…
Of these, most are killed within 2 weeks of leaving the abuser…
Two-thirds of residents in battered women shelters are children…
Every year, 1,510,455 women and 834,732 men are victims of physical violence …
Chosen Ministries presents the second “I Am…My Voice” Benefit held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 by their performing arts ministry, N2SowSeed. Inspired by the Voices of Women Stage Production, “I Am…My Voice” is designed to ignite change in our community.
Our purpose is to empower the unique and powerful voice that lies within each of us, encouraging the lost to accept and love oneself despite the circumstances. This night of miracles will birth not only our long term support against Domestic Violence for women and children, but it will continue to allow N2SowSeed to create awareness by sowing seeds of hope through the art of entertainment.
Please share your voice by helping us reach our goal of $5000.00 in both cash gifts and product donations. These proceeds will be used to ensure that needs are accommodated. Your contribution is essential to help provide a safe haven and to rebuild the stolen lives of these domestic violence victims.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your love and for giving us the opportunity to reach out to the broken-hearted. Please know that your gift is tax deductible. (Chosen Ministries, Inc: Tax ID# 20-8610139). The Void Between the Vision & the Visible
When was the last time you faced a problem that you couldn’t handle?
Chances are, the furthest thing from your mind was the fact that God has a promise for your life. Instead, you most likely scrambled to find solutions to your pending need. This happens because there is a very real void between the vision God has for your life and what’s visible to you everyday.
Whenever you begin to explore the vision, the realities of everyday life creep in and cloud that vision with what’s truly visible.
The beautiful thing is that the void can be filled. You can overcome the vast obstacles that stand in the way of God’s vision for your life.
The following video will show you how.
Remember these 5 points whenever you feel distanced from the vision God has promised you.
- Have faith in God
- Focus on the solution (Jesus), not the problem
- Follow-through on what God has told you to do
- Fellowship with other believers
- Fight for the promise
“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” ~Matthew 17:20
Is God #1 In Your Life?
Yesterday, I was planning on skipping church.
Now before you stone me and call me a heretic, realize that many of you skip church all the time. And that was the very point I was trying to make.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to eat breakfast in bed, or spend the day at the lake, because I was asked to come preach. And preach I did!
Actually, it was more of a rebuke. You see, I don’t understand why there’s a double standard. Why can’t I miss church, but all of you can?
Oh, because I’m the Pastor, you say. But the word very clearly tells us all not to forsake the assembly of ourselves (Hebrews 10:25 NLT).
The truth is, I really didn’t want to miss church. I live to impart God’s Word to His children. It is truly the highlight of my week. But it saddens me to see so many people out, then wonder why their lives are in shambles.
Don’t let this be you. Make God #1 in your life!
You may be thinking, what does going to church have to do with making Him number one.
“I love God and He’s a part of my everyday life!”
Well, church was so important that Christ gave his life for the church (Ephesians 5:25 NLT) and asks us to do the same (Romans 12:1 NLT). Remember, the Church is His Body, and all of the parts of His Body must come together in order for us to accomplish everything we’re supposed to accomplish. Make time for Him. Commit everything to Him, and don’t let your other priorities push Him to the side.
“If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.”
~Luke 9:23-24 NLT

Can’t We All Just Get Along?
Complications are plenty within the Body of Christ.
Many are hurt due to the nature of the gathering of imperfect humans. While this may discourage you from fellowship, we are called to be joined to the Body.
I need you. You need me. We’re all a part of God’s Body!
Stand with me, agree with me. We’re all a part of God’s Body!
It is His Will, that every need be supplied.
Who’s Your Daddy?
Please allow me to introduce you to your Father.
No, I’m not talking about the one who taught you how to ride your bike, or who pulled your first tooth. And I am especially not referring to the one who abandoned you in order to have another family.
I’m talking about your Heavenly Father. The One who loves you unconditionally, beyond measure, and want’s to give you the world!
Prayer Power
Prayer is dialogue with God, not a diatribe or a monologue. Unfortunately, we seldom reap the benefits of prayer or experience its power because we are not honest, sincere, or persistent in our prayers.
